Have beer, will travel. Northeastern ohio I am a younger guy (35) and I would like to learn how to do custom metal working. I have electrical skills, and some basic mechanical and welding skills. I would like to volunteer my labor, lend a helping hand, or do whatever to learn this art. Using tools like a pinch roller, english wheel, or power hammer. I have asked everyone I know that is interested in cars, and they dont know anyone around the area that does this type of work.
Is there something specific that you want to build, using these skills? or do you just want to learn the skills for fun?
Not sure how close you are but, Cornfield Customs might be worth checking into. I know he does a few different metal shaping cl***es a year. http://cornfield-customs.com
