I'll be swinging by the booth to see if the rumor that "friend to the HAMB" Delmar's 55 ya'll are building is going to be at the booth. True?
Friend to the HAMB? The car itself is about as far from the HAMB style as you can get, and I don't think I've met the owner yet....I don't have a clue what we're bringing out there.
I'll be there, but only because right down the street from my friend's house where I'm staying in Keller there's two BYOB Peeler Bars. Might have to make my way to Austin if the Rev's playing.
I call him that cause he has helped me and some others out with hard to find parts, and has been to a few HAMB gatherings, including the HAMB Bomb party. But your are right that 55 is a long way away from a HAMB type machine. But thats not the only car he has. He has sevral HAMB worthy rides as well. I know he lurks here some and I've been tring to get him to go ahead and join up. Anyway, hope to make it, and hope to get a chance to say Hi.
if you're going for the car show, it's decent, lots of high dollar rods out there, other wise don't plan on winning, especially if you enter in the under 21 class and get beat out by the other 18 year old whos parents paid for his 69 camaro to get finished by numerous hotrod shops, to which he admitted to the judges. With me sitting there tellin the judges I did everybit of the work to my truck myself, starting at age 16 and drove down to the lonestar nats from kansas in the middle of the night driving through heavy rainfall the whole way (thanks to rain x) and I get there, and get effed in the A by this rich kid. So if you're into that...go for it my friend

I laugh at the people who sit by their car all day and wait for awards. My fat ass will be walking and looking for 4 days straight.

i will be there friday evening possibly, but for sure saturday afternoond and all day sunday, hope to have the A in the swap meet..
well scratch that...i'm not payin 60.00 for a swap meet space, so the coupe will be in the parking lot somewhere..lol
Me and my pops will be camped out in the parking lot. Should get there thurs. to get a good spot for spectating. Its cool to be set up by the entrance watching the cars come in and out drinkin cold ones.
You should have gone to pinks with us in Arizona and done them on national tv. That is after dumn ass lost it.
FWIW, Dont know if anyone has mentioned or know of it,but there is a big airshow at Alliance airport , right next to TMS the same Fri-Sun. Hotels will be full and traffic will be ..Well ,if you've ever been here you know what i mean. Just a warning,patience will be required and DPS will be out in force. Have fun.
