this is not super car related but just wanted to share my son b-day gift i made...dusted off the air brush and went for it. ...johnny
He will remember it. I remember collecting my pennies to get a Roth ratfink sweat shirt from a Hot rod mag and waited until the day it came. That same day ridding double on my bike we crashed and I broke my wrist. Got to the hospital and they wanted to cut off my brand new ratfink shirt to get at the arm.... NO FRIGGEN WAY I cried and yelled until the said fine it's going to hurt more if we have to take the shirt off over that broken wrist. I at all of 12yrs old told them just do it but don't cut the shirt. And it did hurt like hell but I still had my shirt.
thats a great storie. i hope my son feels the same way about his.....he did say all the other kids want one....thanks for all your coments.....think of doing these at car shows, dont see many people ding them...lots of screen printing. do you think folks would like them?
Sorry to jack your great thread but some members liked the story so I figured I would add The rest of the story..... The guy that was driving the bike when we crashed was JAMES BOND.... no really that was his real name and when the movies started coming out he took a BUNCH of crap. Trying to do anything he would get the "Yea sure kid now what's your real name" stuff all the time. When he finally got his drivers license he had to show it everytime the name thing popped up.
Some good lookin' artwork there! I love a '57. Claymore - I know a dude named Charlie Brown. He goes by "buddy".
Nice work. I airbrush T-shirts too. Good luck if you try to do shows. Cutlass, I knew I guy when I was in the Air Force named Charlie Brown, looked like him, too.
thats great!....... i was just looking around the web.. it was amazing to see what Roth sold his shirts for....would have loved to watch him work....
I dated a girl in high school named Sarah Lee , and any joke you can think of I've heard!!! Sweet job on the sweatshirt.
