Jeezus Sammy, a Touring! It is in final paint, which I am doing myself. When I said soon Jim, soon, I meant it. I will post pics when it is going back together. I wouldnt think I would catch **** from you unless it is friendly flak and ribbing!? I respect lots of guys here includign you Sammy(**** Reynolds) and Rogue and Samiyam and Cole and fritz and Moriarity......**** that list could get long if I posted em all! Here is how I I interpereted Rogues post. He is tired of seeing the waylowreagardlessofdrivabilitylook many here are shooting for. I see his humor and the fact he is stirring the pot to try and get folks fired up to strive for better. Like I said before, Rogue has the resume to to question what is going on. He has taste AND skills.
60's style, now were talking turky. Do you have more pics? I think the g***er stuff is gunna be my next thing. Just dig it. Trent, glad to see you can see through the trees, hope your painting went well. Been real busy trying to maintain the ranch, cars, baby, and the wife. I think I got a friend that is gunna pick up the slack here and free up some of my time. We'll see..............
I will probably never hear the end of this, someone who hardly ever posts on here is insulting a hamb hero. I personally think your elitist at***ude ****s! People interpretations of hot rods are different. Everyone builds cars to their vision and skill level, Just because they dont possess your skills and your vision that makes it bad? I personally will agree with you I dont really like seeing rusted rpu bodies thrown on shaky frames, with what looks like a junkyard small block/flathead in it. But to some people that might be there dream hot rod that they probably put really hard work into. Dude dont get me wrong I am not trying to be a ----head I think you just need to keep things in perspective. Those people that are building those cars probably look at your cars and wish they had your fab skills. Jimmy White P.s maybe if we bump into each other at the roadster show we can get into a deeper discussion about this&g***ers.
Hemi, I here you bro. I don't consider myself much of a fabricater. Most of the bends on the new rpu were done in a hole in my pavment garage floor, while overindulging. My point in fact. The wife tells me to not push my beliefs on others, but I see so many things that seem out of reach, but are right in front of so many builders. Just apply yourself and do it. If my dumb *** can build ch***is components from a hole in the ground (literrally), anyony can push the envelope. I guess it's wether they choose to...........
dude, come up to my shop I have a tubing bender you can use any time. Time is a big issue when you are building a hot rod. That is one reason why my coupe is in such sorry shape. I was always hurrying to get stuff done for the next show. People always come by my shop and ask about how we did something thats neat, than I tell them how long it took, and they cant believe it. I am such a dumb***, that sometimes I will stare at something for an hour before I even start on it. Experience plays a big hand in hot rod building, when you have more experience, stuff just seems to come easier. You realized you needed bends, you knew from experience how you could do it. Most people dont have that eye until they get more experience. What it boils down to is trying and how bad do you want it. Like I said I wasnt trying to be a ----head, I better shut up I am starting to ramble. Jimmy White P.s Trust me dude I stare at cars forever that people have gone the extra mile on.
Hemi, I will be at fathers day next Friday. The wife will be getting up there in the later evening, but i'll be there at around 10:30 am. Look for a 72 chevy p/u, green with pearl green ghost flames in the swap meet. I'm a skinny ****er and I will be staggering around with a beer in my hand. See you there?....................................
***S will NEVER get it, and if that OFFENDS you POLITICALLY CORRECT folks who SHAKE at a SIMPLE DESCRIPTIVE word that REALLY only DEFINES a LIFE you have spent TRYING to REINVENT the WHEEL in a SQUARE FORM, then PLEASE go back to 40 ford COWLS and AIR BAGS on MAIL TRUCKS..... and Be sure to HUG your LOCAL PINSTRIPERS,................... GOD knows that ARTISTS with HEARTS that BLEED REAL BLOOD, are DYING to create something LIKE ""THE DUNE ****" that only a FEW will even UNDERSTAND............ JOHN SCHULER for PRESIDENT, even if he was BLOWING Cole in the YELLOW 86 CHEVY truck, the ****** tweaker left at the SHOP........ BUILT...... SO. GAY.. one **** at a TIME........
Maybe you should slip on over to the Metric Billet and Turbo Import board if you want to see 'on the edge' and 'forward progress' The reason I hang around this forum is because it deals with old style cars and culture.
Tman, chill, just ribbing you, cuz you always post updates ,but never any pics! we want to see this ***** already.
My guess is that the people that THINK they are on the cutting edge do not post pics cause they think they'll get stolen. I'm just telling you to practice what you preach and step up with the cutting edge pictures. I'v got some cool ideas for my 32 coupe and as I build it I'll show pics. Maybe someone will chime in and tell me an idea is stupid or add one. That's what this place is about to me. A big motor does not make a car cutting edge. Design makes a car cutting edge. Our modified isn't cutting edge. It is a "safe" car cause our goal was to build it quick and cheap. Try building a cutting edge car in 6 days for under a $1000. We used a 4 cyl. cause it was free plus I think it's cool. Besides the way we abuse it anything bigger and the bajo rear would be in peices in no time. If you were just trying to inspire the m***es you just said a few things wrong. Your post made you sound like you think you are better than the rest of us. As for the So What thing it's supposed to make you laugh. We like to have a good time and we really don't give a ****. We do have two guys that are building shiny cars and they are starting a new club....So We Care Clark
Normally I LOVE getting in on these posts. But this one bores me. BLAH, BLAH, BLAH.... YADA,YADA,YADA..... RASHY
bottom line.......there is no cutting edge if its still traditional....period...... its been 80 + years since rodding really began, the old timers have done it already, anytime someone gets a big head and thinks they might have a new idea, i 'll bet there is a handful of pics of a guy who did it in the 50s there is only deviations on what has already been done, im ok with that i dont want to impress anyone, i just like building stuff that i like
I don't like all this political Hot Rod ********. It makes no sence. You guys should go run for mayor or something and leave Hot Rods alone. Rouge for Mayor? Mayors are ****ing gay. I don't want to be a Mayor, I just wanna be a Hot Rodder. It's all about guidelines. Some dudes set guidelines to set the bar higher, others are happy to just to make the team. Some dudes build cars with pure p***ion, others build with their ****s in Hand. Some dudes are confused, these dudes think they're building with p***ion, but everyone else can see their p***ion is their ****. All of these cars are nessasary, it seems alot of times I learn more from the cars I don't like than the ones I do. It's just as important to learn what NOT to do as to learn what to do. I've set my bar so high at times I can't find anything to like, but I can always find stuff I don't like. Which is almost as good.......... It's kind of like chics. Every once in awile you find one that knocks your socks off, while most of them are just ****ing Ugly. BUT, you have to appreciate the ugly ones, otherwise there would be nothing to judge the pretty ones against. See, it's simple. Just shut the **** up and build something cool. It might knock some dudes socks off, while others will think its ****ing ugly.
I like to JACK OFF with FRUIT, when I use a TRADITIONAL fruit such as a ROTTEN APPLE, I put it in the MICROWAVE, HIT the ROCK COCAINE in my AIR FRESHNER turned GL*** PIPE....... Then when the FRUIT is NICE and HEATED, I **** it, and the POWER of the ARDUN JUICED MEAT STICK, releases the SMELL from the FRICTION that reminds everyone why they love GRANDMAS ****ing APPLE PIE,, I'm, SO TRADITIONAL, I jack off Like the 40's BARBER named SAMUAL, SKIN to SKIN, while the open PALM fields will SHINE MAN TO MAN.....
I HAD A TIME MACHINE dumb ***, I was ORSON WELLES or whoever the *** was,,,,,,, at LEAST I build ****BOXES that KEEP the WHEELS below the ROOF.... You look like CHUBACCA.. I love you
Bob bleed, I like your style dude, you conveyed my thoughts into words better than I could. If you are ever in so. cal again look me up. Bob Bleed do you know Tom Markowka(sp) he is one of the sinners from Milwaukee. Germ you are a beautifully f-ed up individual, I will see you next weekend. Jimmy White
[ QUOTE ] Bob bleed, I like your style dude, you conveyed my thoughts into words better than I could. [/ QUOTE ] same here. build what you like, impress yourself. then drive the ****ing wheels off of it. trey
Cheaters go for the Chakita brand. Did you ever get to see Mallory naked? Hemi Coupe I'll be back soon. I wanna go for a ride in that coupe. I'd challenge you to a race, but I'd loose. HaHa I'm sure I've met Tom, but I don't pay much attention to that car club stuff. Thanks, Bob
Bob bleed, next time you come out here, I will take you for a ride in my coupe, and put your *** to work in my shop. The Sinners arent really a car club, It started along time ago with all the motorcycle guys.I think me,Cole,rf and skinny Jeff are the only ones that lean more towards the car side. Its basically a big group of friends with a common interest. I just moved into a bigger shop so I finally have room to work on my own cars. I am going to fix a bunch of f-ed up stuff on my coupe. Jimmy White P.s I think some of the cheaters know Tom.
All i can say is I like the board because of the traditional ways you folks build your rides. It keeps "customs" as they are, and it allows those old ways to be p***ed on to the next guy to keep the "Sport" going. I know there are more modern ways of doing things ("Gold-Chainer ways), but if it worked back in the 50's, it works for me today. Building cars of the past keeps everthing more simple to keep up and less spending in the $$$ department. When you post your rides and express the hard work/effort put into them, that is what brings more appreciation to the work I see. The back yard wrencher, the garage builder...Isnt that how it was back in the day???? I enjoy the cars and build them with a p***ion. Every Idea, know they have been done before, and actually seeing in its complete form gives me a great feeling towards the word "traditional" Sure we all dont have pre 60's rides, but the spirit is what keeps us going. All the rides have the past "flared" into them...thats what makes em special and noticing. History on wheels.!!!! I have met a few HAMB'ers over time and the at***ude is what keeps brining me back to the "sport." I have done my share of imports, mini-truckin and nothing compares to the brotherly at***ude here; the help, and desire to help others to get thier rides on the road. Isnt that what its all about? "Its P***ion that keeps it traditional"
Brake? This is no tech topic. Break? OK. The built Chick pic's were the best thing in here."Size Matter's" Yes!
