thinking more about paint since I'm gonna have to respray one of the fenders and the hood on the poncho since I got backed into. I was thinking since I have to paint anyways, maybe I could add a little more "60's stylin'" to the body. Like metallic silver flames striped in black (layed out similar to lownslow's 60 Buick, without the flake) or some scallops, either silver or black, with opposide striping..... What do ya guys think? I'll throw up some pics so you can see where I'm at and for the photoshop people. First pic is of where the retard backed into me, second one is just what the car looks like right now.

I like the idea of silver scallops with black (or red) striping. Great looking car.

I was trying to find a decent pic for photoshopping, I have an old photoshopped pic the monster did for me with a mild scallop job, I'll just post it and other can use it to try stuff on, so if anyone wants to give it a go, a little wilder scallop job (not too wild, this is a budget paint job), in silver. The side trim will be on the car too as soon as i can get it to stay on.

i could easily lay out a scallop job for that car that would cover the damaged areas. is it just*****ed up paint or is there actual body damage? either way i don't think it would be a real problem. how about a good side shop for the photoshoppers. if someone gives you a good basic layout it would be easy to print what ever they do and use it for reference. i told you that car needed a nice scallop job. i gues this was the higher powers way of telling you i was right.hehehe. i've said it before and i'm saying it again anything i can do to help i'll be more than willing. hey also i gave a guy(rusty) from sc your number about the ford and he said he's tried to call you several times and got no answer did ya change yuor number or have you just been gone? anyhow get back with me as i think he's still interested even though he just picked up a '40 truck or something like that...ken....

    j,
can you post another pic like the first but from a little further back? i think i already see how to take care of the damaged area but need a little wider view. also if this happens anytime soon my buddy Igor from va beach thats the kickass striper will be down in the next few weeks hopefully to drop off a motor for his truck right outside of charlotte. you may could get the striping done then if you wanted...ken....

hey man, pm me your number, i think i deleted the pm it was in. We've been gone for christmas break that's why no one answered. the Ford will be going back into the shop probaly in the next month, so get him to call me again, cos if i start putting owkr into it again, It'll be harder to let it go, and the price will go up. There was no body damage that I've been able to tell yet on the poncho, she caught mostly bumper so it's pushed over a couple of inches, it knocked about all the paint off that side of the splash pan where the bumper scraped. I want to get it done soon, but money's SUPER tight right now, so I'm probaly going to have to wait a little bit and work on getting the bugs out of the car and the interior and*****. I'll see if I got a better shot, and I'll pos tthe previous photoshop since I forgot before.
What's the smallest amount of material could I use to get some nice lookin' scallops going on? I guess I'd use the HOK silver orion for them like I used under the flake on the roof. Find out when the striper is gonna be around, I do want to get something done in the center of the hood, but like I said, I'd have to figure out what I could spend. Maybe I'll have to sell off my xbox, heh.

  9. Shit i have no time...

But for what it's worth...i like the finished paintjob and wheel combo better than any of the photoshgops..sweeeet!

But yes a nice scallop job..nothing too nuts would be the ticket....i'd spend a fair amount of time werking one out thought...if your rushing to get the damage fixed...just do that for now???

    Cheers

I would just fix the damage, but If I'm gonna be spraying, I'd rather get all the masking done in one day, and spray it on the next. I fi just repray what was messed up the scallop job might not ever happen cos I'll be too busy driving. I have to get a speedo, and take car of some bugs like the gas tank leak, and the linkage for the latches. I'm just rying to figure out what kind of layout I should do. Will just the metallic base without the flake look alright since the roof is flaked? If i could afford all the clear I'd do flaked scallops, but that's out of the question right now. I just need to get this thing finished.
