Anybody have any info on a glass deuce body manufactured in the St Louis area about 20 years ago? The company was in business for a short time - perhaps only a year or two. Might have been called Paul's. Any information on the quality of the body or the history of the company is appreciated. Thanks!
I had some pauls fenders running boards and aprons for the glass 34 I did a while back.. They were shit. I sold em at a swap and got a 100 bucks for everything ?... We never did figure out who made the body but it wasnt bad. If its pauls stuff there should be a business card or 2 gell coated over in the body some where.. Dave
I have a friend that has a Paul's 34 roadster. It has been on the road for probably 20 years. Painted black, looks good. PM me and will give you his name and number.
The guy is Paul Burnett. He did some stuff that seemed good, althuoghI never had first hand knowledge. Barry Gann,St Louis Streetrods, has driven his burnett 34 Rdstr for 20 years and counting with few issues. Pauls shop was in Valmeyer ,Il,and the flood of 93 washed out the area, and I dont know after that. A search in that area would be a place to look . He also was the guy who made the first 34 roadster pickup moulds, and I think the Speed Sport Roadster body that Goodguys owns.
Weren't the Paul's bodies like the Brown Mold bodies,non-structured shells with the deck and doors in two pieces to be assembled and hung yourself??
I know this guy, I bought my 40 Chevy from him...he is a scheister! He's not in business anymore. I saw some of his fiberglass work when I picked up my 40...NOT GOOD. I did OK by him but I have hear some bad things about him.
