Technical GLASS, Tech; Cut glass at home

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by old beet, Mar 9, 2005.

  1. good tech! where do you get a good glass cutter? Seems like all the glass cutters I run accross have a crappy little wheel and it won't score shit.

Can you maybe elaborate a little on running the scoring wheel?

Great tech post, Beet. Thanks! I have a lot of curiousity about glass since, in my opinion, I have never really successfully cut any.

Could you, or any of the glass guys, tell me why I get chips along my (ragged) cut line? It is not smooth like I have seen when guys do it who actually know what they are doing. Is there a specific technique or is it that I usually use a cheap cutter, or what?

    Thanks again for any help.
