I'm getting a one piece glass front for my car and it doesn't come with any kind of reinforcing or bracing. I've never used one of these and never even seen the underside of one . Anyone out there have any pics of theirs? How to's?
Get a Chris Alston's chassisworks catalog; he sells a complete front end flip kit for $102.00. Either copy it from the pics or be smart and just buy it 'cause you couldn't build one as nice any cheaper.
look through Kiwi Kevs posts he showed how he used wire mesh to bond his metal frame to the fiberglass flip front , said it works great.
This thread by "Shakeypuddin55" shows how he did it...I THINK! The Photobucket pics were gone due to exceeded bandwidth when I looked it up to check!!! They should be back up later or tomorrow morning...if they're still there at all. Go to post 29 in the link. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=230636&page=2 The Kiwi-Kev style expanded metal welded to the bracing and then bonded to the glass hood is a great idea and tough!!!
Hahahaha...well thats pretty good... THATS the thread I was looking for and thought it was the Puddin'!!!! NOT sure what pics might be on my link now...oh well. Man...we have some great Gasser's getting built around here! Ya just gotta love it!!!
