Here is some useful links I have ac***ulated while working on my 56 2dr sedan. Through many google searches you can find all the Ford numbers than search those. A lot of work I know. Usually most aftermarket companies use some variation of the original Ford number so that makes it easier. If you can't find what you are looking for yet I would just call one of the retailers. Hopefully that will ensure you get all the right parts the first time.

    For your car....

The piece at the back of the front door is the Front Door Gl*** Run lock side. Part # B5A-21550-70U
Most companies make these straight and you have to bend them yourself. This ****s and usually does not work. I bought some bent ones from Teebird products and the first ones didn't fit well. They checked there dies and found they were a bit worn out so they made some changes and made me a new set. They are in the box currently as I am at work out of town.

The front channel is called the Door Gl*** Run - Front Door Hinge side. B5A-Part # 7022296/97-U

Anti rattler kits are the little fuzzy things that hold the gl*** from rattling against the door.

If you are doing the vent windows Dennis Carpenter is the only one that makes the rubber seal. It is available through other companies however. There is a picture with part # below.

I attached a link to a video below on rebuilding the vent windows. It can come in handy.

The other piece needed for the vent windows is the Vent Window Seal. Here is a link for that. This is just the straight piece that the vent window closes against.

The rear windows have similar names.

If you are thinking about power windows at all Nu-Relics makes a very easily bolt in kit but they are more $$ than cheap universal kits (go figure.)

    Don't lose this little bolt.

To install the vent rubber use some soapy water and it will slip right in. Without soapy water it is darn near impossible.

    Both front and rear channels.

looking at the pics of your front and rear chanels a question i have is how do they fasten on ? do they have holes that line up with the holes in the car where the origional clips went on the origional chanels or do you have to dril them and screw them in ?
    thanks Duncan

They have clips on the them and they pop into a slotted hole in the door.

It will probably be the end of Feb before I get a chance to try my new ones from Teebird Products.
