Dave, I'd chat with you anytime 'bout cars! Esp. OLDS!
I'm in the shop most afternoons, ( I do try to take off one afternoon a week, usually Mon.) 3:30 to 6, or later.
Sat. and Sun. all day, until we get the truck finished!
Even if I don't pick up, I might be there...can't hear the phone if the grinder, or compressor are cranking, or if I'm painting.

I love 1958 cars! The Olds may not be the best looking car ever but it's cool, kind of like a jukebox on wheels!

Boy, even at 7 there was a big height difference between you and your daughter. You hardley reached the bumper in your picture, but she appears to be of normal height, Good thing she got that from Liz!

    Looks cool Dave!

Those things are slow enough with thier size and weight, much less adding 800 lbs in all those paint jobs!

I can't believe I missed this thread, especially when everyone is having such a good time poking fun at Dave.
And for the record Keith, YES, we did make it out of the back seat.....but that was only to retrieve the fuzzy handcuffs that Dave had in the glove box. (he told me it was his "mirror muff")

I saw a 58 several years back at Pate that was a real light, nearly white, lavender. It was a mild custom and was perfect. I'd never seen one before. keep the pictures coming Dave. TP

Pretty much stock body, nice interior, 46,000 actual miles, but couldn't resist messing with the engine. 10.5 compression, Ross Pistons, 60 over, Smith Bros. Push Rods, Goatroper Rockers in place of stock adjustable, Clay Smith Cam (230 @ .050), killer port work, balanced, 3.42 rear, 4,680 pounds and 20 foot of pure joy to drive.
