This year the Vintage drag racing 101 guys are bringing the Uncle Sam's pie eating compe***ion to the Glory Days.,

We will be there with our 63-409 nostalgia super stock

 

Once again I will flog the ol' Jeepster in the Hot Rod cl***.

Hope there is some good old Meltdown response to this thread. Sure do miss those days on the HAMB. If it is not a hundred degrees I will be there to get inspired and hunt stuff down in the swap meet! Larry

,...previously the Meltdown crew gave out parts and stuff that was donated by different companies to the racers, I believe.

 

We’ve gone the last few years as spectators and have a blast every time. Planning on going this year too. We don’t need no stinking giveaways.....

 

I always have a lot of fun there, I don't like the heat some years but ya takes your chances.

 

I'm pre-registered for both The Glory Days Meet, and USPEC, with my 55. Hopefully the strip will be open by then.

By the way, Byron Dragway has a "Cruise-In" style dinner today, (May 9th) from 4pm to 7pm. The meal has to be pre-ordered and picked up in your car. Attendees also receive a complementary photo of your car in the "Winner's Circle" at Byron Dragway. There's a limit on the number of attendees, though. Not sure if it is filled up, yet
