Technical GM Lifter ID, Likely V8

    This would seem easy in the information age but...
    GM/AC Lifters, HL71 or 5232910. Anyone have a book?

    Maybe post a pic of one along with the diameter and length. Also hole location. Someone might spot it that way.

    Well, you cats got a bunch further than I did!
    Lifter Dia = .903 & the OAL is 2.00
    Mopar & AMC?
    Odd that it is such an obscure part number for really common engines?

    Bird Man..I posted back on the 8th what the lifter fits. The small block Mopar 318 engine. Don't know what other years besides the 1983 model listed...but now you're in the ballpark. Did you find any other info?

    Looks like big blocks too. It seems odd that there are so many numbers that interchange...
    Likely a diff in bleed down rate and the like?
    GM had like 7 different lifters for the Pontiac V8. Some were slightly oversize for bores that needed a hone.
