I have a GM tilt steering column I want to put in my '56 f-100. I have the original '56 steering column in the truck now but cant see how to remove it. Am I going to be able to use the GM tilt with a stock '56 steering box?. how does the column seperate from the box? Thanks ahead of time.

one piece box/column, most likely. You separate it with a saw, then you have to spline or double-D the shaft to couple it to the new column.
