Please help me diagnose: GM 350 trans, sounds like it is slipping, and won't shift to 3rd after it gets warm. No other wierd noises. Worked just fine until I GUNKed the frame and parked it in the garage to wax it. Started off yesterday to go to a car shindig, and it wouldn't shift. Checked the fluid level - it's ok. It's too low to get underneath, but I looked with a mirror on a stick and can't see any hoses or wires disconnected. Tried it again this morning with the same results. Thanks in advance

Thanks! I remembered taking off the air cleaner so I checked there and behind the carb I found a 2" vacuum hose that was shot. Replaced it and it shifted fine. About 36 hours too late, but at least no trip to the shop and looking stupid.

Why don't you sign in and join the fun?
