Luckysgal and I met up with fab32, FuelPump, and lurker Tom May with his uber badass chopped in the 50's real deal three window. Being the deuce freak that she is, Andria hopped in Tom's car for the rest of the trip. Met up with the nightmares and had a great afternoon. I heard the car count was around 4,000 but they claimed 20,000 for the entire four day event. It's a great show, and a nice break from the Dream Cruise that I attended the night before. Fifteen miles of bumper to bumper gridlock. It was cool, but I think I'll stick to Flint next year.

    Thanks for coming down Scott!

Any of you elitist Detroit yahoos that think you have something special with the dream cruise have NO idea what you're missing. Imagine the dream cruise, without all of the minivans, ricers, Escalades, and commuter traffic, and with more laid back cops, and you've got Flint's "Back to the Bricks".

With as much as this event has grown in the 4 years since it's inception, I will NEVER waste my time/fuel on Woodward again.

Yes it does. Not only did he have my chick riding shotgun, he blew past me at 120+ on the expressway. I'll turn in my man card tomorrow:eek: Old guys, they just never get tired of showing off:D

The Back to the Bricks event has grown into a major deal within its 4 year existance. The brain child of a fellow car guy Al Hatch, has proven alot of people wrong when they said that it cannot compete with Woodward. Although Woodward Cruise will always be the original, and much bigger, Flint has become one hell of an event. I am just stoked that there is an event like this, just minutes from my house.

From the sounds of things, there will be more downtown streets in use next year, and some more big named vendors in the mix.

To think.... Flint has something else it can be known for, besides crime and unemployment.

Argh! I couldn't go this year...my wife had a vacation week and we were up in the U.P. Great time but serious car withdrawal! Better plans next year!
