I’m looking for guidance in locating parts to rebuild my original gmc 6 along with crank bearing other than 1010 std
Pistons are the hard thing to get. Mine were made by Ross Racing. GMC Truck 248 6cyl 1952-53 – Egge Machine Company
What parts are you needing i have a bunch of 248 parts and pieces, head, crank etc since im doing a 270 now.
They are pretty much the same stock. Any cam grinder can regrind for more performance by reducing the base circle. The cast iron ones are the most prevalent as the military steel ones are desirable for racing with a regrind. I’ll sell you a stock cast iron core for $25 plus shipping and it probably will need a regrind even if you want it stock. You will need the holder plate that goes behind the cam gear also…I don’t sell those. New lifters are questionable unless you can find old NOS or replacements made in the USA.
