Iv seen a couple different threads on the old root 471s but none answered my questions, just getting into these blowers and just curious what intake are you guys using to mount to a sbc?
I have 3 cars with these blowers on them. 2 of my cars run original weind intakes, and my third one is on a 6/71 manifold with a plate made to adapt it.
there is a guy in Australia making new 4-71 manifolds for the SBC. He has a distributor here in the USA in Texas.
The man to contact in Texas is Jerry Hopkins of Corsicana,Texas. I don’t have a contact number but I am confident someone on the HAMB can provide the needed info. Jerry is a flathead guy that used to meet with me over the years and talk ,trade pieces; phone number I had for him is out of date and have had no contact with him for several years. Do they have manifolds for the SBC as original poster requested? Couldn't check myself, as my old browser won't work for the site.
While not cheap, that one is a bargain compared to an early or NOS one. I have seen those sell for $3k.
Not sure I can't see it eithe, but Keith is the only one over here making this sort of stuff that I know of...
