Does anybody make an adapter to put a modern transmission behind an old GMC six cylinder. I know there are adapters for just about everything else out there. My wife's grandfather has a restored '46 GMC pickup that we would like to update so it can be driven on the street. I'm already planning a rearend swap and some changes to the steering and brakes, but I need a different transmission. Can anyone help?

Try Buffalo Enterprises, Arlington, WA, 360-652-7684

He makes an adapter that will hook your GMC up to most late-model automatics.
