Yeah,i met swedish guys there, when i was there earlier. But they were drag racers and had a tight schedule. So the GNRS wasnt on their bucketlist.I guess they were more into racing than car shows..

    Thanks!
Like late Johnny Cash sang "I've been everywhere,man"..
Well, not really, but it feels like that.I counted that we visited over 20 car related events, museums, hot rod/custom shops, drag races and several non car related tourist traps, antique stores etc.I guess we have few more to go,we still have time left in here:D

Old Crow Speedshop, there was some neat stuff.Guys told us that they are moving, because the old buildings will be demolished and there will be a Mall,Ikea or some other stupid **** on that spot in the future. Its a shame:

Nethercutt Museum. There wasnt much any hot rodding stuff, mostly a rare and really expensive cars. But it was really worth to go.They had a guided tour at the building across the street. There was a mechanical organ from year 1918.They played them at movie theaters back in the days, when movies were silent.Pretty impressive thing,if you are into a mechanical stuff.Few photos:

Yep,but that will take month or two.I am not sure do i make any trips like this at this year.Maybe to Sweden at summer.Hang'em high could cool event again, but we'll see...
Well,i made back home safely.I didnt have any bigger bumps on the road.I had a 12V shoebox wiper motor in my cabin bag, because i dont want to put anything fragile in the luggage. The airport staff can be really violent with the peoples luggages..
I guess they thought it was a bomb or something at LAX,they asked me to step out of the line and checked out pretty much everything that i had in that bag.
I dont blame anyone, they were just doing their job.But i think it could be easier just to send stuff like this home via USPS in the future..
Anyway,it was a great trip.I think its really hard to beat this one.Over 20 museums, car shows, cruising nights, swapmeets, drag racings, shop tours etc.We drive slightly over 1900 miles with our rental ****box during last two weeks in LA.
Thanks to everybody for the tips, they sure made this trip a good one!

That is such a shame Old Crow has to move. Such a cool building. Usually when we stop by there we spend just as much time checking out the building. Do you know if Hollywood Hot Rods(next door) is going to have to move too?

Yup. That whole street has to move. It's all going to be torn down. They don't care about the cool buildings that have been there since the 30's. if they can make money by tearing it down, they'll do it.
Our new building is not far away, a few miles north of the current location.

  28. Going to Nethercutt and Galpin tomorrow and old Ford store.

Take the guided tour at Nethercutts. It's really worth to go. They do them only at twice a day.
