this is a perfect reason (trailer queen's Kill) drive your car. naw, Just kiding, glad she's going to be Ok.
Glad she's gonna be OK-accidents happen. My wife doesn't believe they do so I'm glad it wasn't my accident!
Incredibly lucky to not have more serious injuries. This just shows that it can happen to anyone. All it takes is for a set of cir***stances to align and.....bad scene. My prayers are added to the others who posted here. Although, I am not a very good Christian, I am a helluva lot better person than I used to be. And, thank you all who posted. Finally, a gaggle of replies that are not wiseguy in nature. Yeah, hot rodders are damn decent people who will come together when needed.
What are we on the set of Dallas? Who the f*ck wears a fur coat anymore? P.S. Glad to hear that she'll be ok...
Sorry to hear of the accident and I hope she does fully recover. When she does I will have to pity Jack. If it had been my wife and me doing the hitting, my *** would be in one helluva lot of trouble for weeks, months and probably years to come. Hope they both recover from this tragedy.
Another reason to be careful and take our time when doing stuff like this, but yes, **** happens. Glad to hear she will be ok
I do as a matter of fact. ALOT on the weekends in the winter and sometimes even to work on Fridays with my jeans and boots. Actually it could have been any number of high priced items....subs***ute a diamond ring, car, whatever, in place of the word fur coat. You get the picture. Lots of family history that wasn't funny at the time it happened ends up being a story told over and over again at family functions and gets laughed about. Since Carman will be alright, I'm sure amoung their friends it will be talked and laughed about in hotel parking lots for a long time....especially when Jack is backing up a trailer and his friends are around. Speedy recovery wished for Carmen and I hope that one day they both can laugh about it.
Yeah, I didn't know if it was too soon to say "no one runs over their wife by accident." But seriously, glad to hear she's ok. P.S. That was a good natured joke above... No ill will intended.
Wow! That's some scary ****! Hope she recovers ok. When I saw the ***le- I thought it was the other "accident" I saw on Saturday. Fendered roadster next to building 6 was trying to parallel park between 2 trees around 10am. Trees have concrete walls around them. Backed the roadster right into the wall & toasted the rear driver steel fender.
It looked like she was next to the trailer. The SUV came OVER the front of the trailer and hit her and the '32 coupe that was parked beside the trailer. The SUV was on the trailer and the left rear tire was blown out on the SUV. I'm still not sure how it did that. It was a crazy looking wreck. Just glad to hear she will be ok.
I ran over my dog once in my34 Ford and I felt so ******* bad (He lived) I can just imagine how he must have felt after that. Wow. My prayers go out to them both. Lesson to be learned:You should always drive your cars and not trailer them.
I talked with a friend today who had talked with Jack who was going to LA today and said Carmen did not return to the bay area yet, she has a sister in LA that she staying with until she recuperates, they put her in rehab for physical therapy but she couldn't handle the language barrier, at two differfent places so she's at the sisters, she had a dislocated shoulder, crushed hip and a lot of cuts and bruises also swelling in her leg and some blood issues..at least is is what I was told..I will post again after I talk with Jack next week.
Glad to hear shes ok. Maybe he should think about DRIVING his rod and using the trailer to move friends.
Let them know she has been in a lot of folks here's thoughts and prayers since the accident. A lot of us have done the same exact thing time and again and never had an accident but there is always a first time. Think how many times you have told one of your buddies "yea back it on up, I'll guide you and connect the hitch".
