Folks Of Interest GNRS: Alter boys looking for a chaperone

Myself and 4 other boys are heading to the GNRS, we'll be hanging out at the show but afterwords we would like to see some of the local shops....not the so-cal speed shop or any other big shops but the cool digs like the old crow, maybe kiwi-kevs place.....
So....anybody have time?? or suggestions on which shops to visit and which shops to p***??

Yes there are metal detectors and for some strange reason Bobby does a strip search of all of the GUYS.

Nope I can't. I'm trying everything I possibly can to get out there in March for a wedding so I have to choose the more important of the two. But there is a chance of Detroit and Jalopy Showdown.

I hate to miss the GNRS but I'll get back out there next year.

 

This has been a "Bucket List" event for a long time, some year I'll get there. What will this round trip weekend cost Boston or NYC to LA?

And that's more then I usually pay. I think I normally pay something like $225 including tax. Then I stay in Long Beach (Belmont Shores) with our friend Summer and sleep on the couch to keep it really cheap!

 

You can visit Limeworks in Whittier. They have a cool shop.

 

Circle City Hot Rods is a pretty rad shop to visit I hear too!

All of us guys are stoked to go, its not easy to get everyone together to do something like this but I'm glad that its all coming together.
As for going to Kevs place one hour is nothing to drive for a good shop tour, hell it can take almost an hour for me to get to Pete's place with traffic. I would also like to see the Vintage Hammer garage for an up close and personal inspection of the Bean Bandits land speed cars but have no idea it's proximity to the GNRS or if they'll open the door for a bunch of scruffy east coasters like us... but I am hoping.
I am sure this visit is going to fly by but we are going to try to cram as much as humanly possible into 4 days! Keep in mind that we also have to find time to drink about 600 beers and eat 1100 tacos too.

If there ever was a group that NEEDS A CHAPERONE, this is the group.

Our flight gets to LA at 11:10 on Thursday, the plan at this time is to head for Beautiful Downtown Burbank and visit Old Crow and HHR. Then on to Pomona.

Pete and troops, will that work for you and do you want to tag along?
