I'll post more later.....also from Peterson, and the NHRA museum. Too much cool stuff to comprehend!!!
lots of great cars. Too bad they removed the oldest car show from its home in Nor Cal. Well at least we still have the SF Rod and Custom show. I noticed they are running alot of the same cars. Nice photos Keep them coming.
I talked to the promoter and he said the reason it was moved was due to the lack of security. Cars were getting stolen from the show. He wouldn't go into any details, but said he's happy about the turnout.
The bare metal coupe was one of my favorites of the show, I love it it looks great and its done right...
The car is being built by Pinkees Rod Shop...the guys that built the killer rpu that was featured twice in TRJ.....the coupe will be just as fantastic. The motor and firewall, and also a concept pic...
I've got a new favorite custom. Drool.. http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f20/vonhatch/100_0457.jpg Great pics man. Pinkees coupe looks incredible.
If you go to Pinkees web page they have a pretty good picture of it there. Is protected so I couldn't save it to post but here is the web address. www.pinkeesrodshop.com
Here is the best angle of it I saw, I think it is a great solution. But I wish I could see a straight on view. It seems like the spring is resting on the curved crossmember, seems like the spring would need a little travel in that direction though. Like I said this is a great solution, I dig it.
Hatch, you're the only person I've seen that was able to capture the true color of the Doyle Gammell 3w. What kind of camera did you use? Every pic I've seen so far from others has been too dark....great pics.
It's a secret....don't tell anybody....Kodak easyshare c643 with the flash turned off....remember....don't tell a soul!!!!
How about a pic of Doane Spencers new car build......he makes EVERYTHING...including casting his own differential and wheels....
Great pics, thanks for posting. I keep looking at the flames on this buick and I'm wondering why they look so good? They aren't overly done with shadows, highlights, triple pinstriping, or anything. But they sure work. What a job.
that photograph of the Buick is a real work of art. Those flames do work nicely. Less is always more. thanks, great shots
