Just wondered if this years show was the best show ever......or is it fantastic every year. I still can't believe the quality and number of cars there. From shit to shinola, the show had it all...... Since it was my first time seeing it, I can't compare to previous years, only to shows I have attended on the east side of the U.S. Has anybody on the board been a long time attendee?

I have been to over 10 of them and this was the best, the only one that came close was the 50th annv show and it was very close because of the collection of past winners...

I guess ya just cant beat the historical cars for pure excitement. I saw cars that I was lusting after since my childhood.....way back when Hot Rod was 50cents....I'm old, just not old enough for the little pages. :)

The suede palace was also cool....is it the first year for that gathering?

Hot Rod never had little pages, the early issues were BIG Pages 9x12 vs todays 8x10 1/2.:)

  5. I was very impressed, seemed like I did't have to walk past as much crap this year.

    Nope you didn't see it.....
I would have liked to seen it.

  8. I did the 50th, 55th (1st Pomona) and the 58th.

The 50th was fantstic due to all the previous 9 foot winners and everyone in the world was there.

This 58th was a close second, lots of nice cars inside and out to see, well arranged, no tuners and boom boxes - the way a rod and custom show should be.

Somewhere in there I need to squeeze the 50th Detroit show though;)
