could you post a picture of your car so we all could know how we should be building them?Bad Bob Thanks for all the photos have a good show.
Thanks for the web site & pictures of Dore's Buick with everything closed. The Buick Does look a lot better & it could be one of my all time favorite that is out of his stable. I just wish it had rear skirts... Happy Trails, Mick
Those are defniately not 41 Stude tailights. Huffs T is a little over the edge. Take the tactor seats out of it and unchop it so you could sit under the roof, and get rid of the ugly Shifter, nad it would be fine. I kinda dig the exhaust.
Wanted to see that too... I think I like how it looks with skirts. (I also removed the hood scoop and slightly reshaped the side window opening at the back.)
SSHHHWWIIINNNNGGGGG!!! It is amazing how much kooler the rear fender treatment looks with the skirts. I'm a little bit strange but I think this is close to Kustom ****. Thanks for the visual Rikster!! Happy Trails, Mick
Hey Bob, or anyone for that matter... if the stripers are going to be set up in the corner again, can someone get some shots of them and their work? I for one would really like to see some of that. Thanks for the preview, can't wait to see more. Thanks! Vance
what?no pics of that ...munster looking thing and the truck that the bed comes up...wow..those really did belong there... just in case you wanted to know..i have a running and driving 41ford car/truck.that was built in the fifties in my shop.that would of looked great in that place...
why Bo, why?? That chop was done (6 years ago) because it was going to be a take on Wessners cherry pie, but the guy who chopped it couldnt take it anymore in "Draggerton" too many meth *****s..
BTW. The buick that Dore did is owned by James Hetfield. Not only a great musician but a great eye too for cars! KNUX!
Damn, Huff's shifter sits so tall, a low flying bird could knock you out of gear. Ha. I'm heading to GNR on Saturday. I can't wait after seeing these pics. Thanks for posting.
Hey some props are due to jeem as he had a big hand in the design of Hetfield's buick and Rick Dore's caddy
I completely agree. That car really "does it" for me, especially Rikster's version. It's amazing how just a couple little changes can really make a dramatic difference. Looking forward to seeing more photos throughout the weekend.
You are getting off easy, Muttley! A few years ago i made a comment on here that Bo Huff built ugly cars and his entourage jumped on me with all the immature attacks they could imagine. They swore at me called me names, and i even was put in the middle of a feud between 2 custom guys that has been going on for years. That car is ugly! Why isn't my car in that show? Because i don't need show biz aggravation and expense. I am sure glad and thankfull for the people that built the cars and put the hard work into putting their cars in the GNRS...all of them! whether i like their cars or not. One mans treasure is another mans junk, especially when it comes to show cars.
Me bad. Props to you too Jeem on the build. Taht thing is bad *** just parked. KNUX! R.I.P. javier mejia........
i cant help thinknig if anyone else had built the car and it wasnt it shiny paint, theyd get a slating about the drivability of it........ read into that what you will.
To each there own, everyone has a different style and vision...if everyone has the exact same style, we would be driving the same cars. Bo is a custom guy, and it looks like he really tried to mix custom and rat rod togeather. I am not siding one way or another, and I personally do not like the style, but it's what he liked or he would not have built it...I think we should leave it at that. Just my 2 cents
Bad Bob, Can you (or others) snap some photos of the green '60 Starliner that is parked near the bellytanker? Thank you!
Just got home from taking my niece to her first carshow. Plenty more pics. That last '32,black and white one,my best friends dad worked on it back in the day. He worked at Bell Auto Parts,Rich LeNarz.
