  1. Since I love rooting for the underdog I’d like to see Tweetybird win.

A website should have a listing and profile of all the contenders shortly. If I find it before someone else posts it I’ll add it to the thread.

  5. I wouldn't attempt a guess but I found the Rodders Journal interviews very entertaining. Human stories behind rods can be better than the car. :)

Thanks Cyclone Racer, that is what we have been waiting for.
Strange that the photos get posted from someone in NZ.

What is the story on the Buick, does anyone know? Seems a little out of place?

What is it, the diameter of the wheels, or the aspect ratio of the tires? What's the rule with aluminum wheels......cast, forged, machined.....what are the specifics?
    -Thanks

Almost all owner built in his home garage outside of final body finish, paint and interior and the shiny stuff. Straight 8 with hand made intake and exhaust. There is an interview on the FB link I posted earlier. A rather sneaky car when you study it a bit.

I note Marks comment on the ugly billet wheels roadster , the post has gone so as no eyes are offended.

This one is going to go down to the nitpicky little details or just what the judges decide they like best. There are some damned nice cars in that bunch.

That is also my pick, because it is the only one that says hot rod to me......but I don't think the judges are necessarily looking for a hot rod.

I have to admit I posted my picture from my phone and my pic is of a different roadster. Those tiny thumbnail pics are hard to see. The car I meant to post is in the background. Here is another one from the Hill Climb this year. [IMG]

No point when you're not allowed to post them all. I fail to understand how threads on the AMBR are even allowed here every year when all of the entrants cannot be shown. Either make a once a year exception to allow one or two pictures of off topic cars to give a complete picture of the competition or don't allow threads on this award to be started at all.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Ok, Guess this is part of the large wheel car story. I'll try a Google search.

I haven't found a definitive list yet that shows all the entrants. Rodders Journal's facebook page has the best coverage I have found so far with videos on what I believe are all the entrants. If you're not on facebook (I'm not used the wifes) not sure where to suggest you look yet.

All of the entrants cars were briefly on here yesterday but some one was offended that a couple of cars had bling wheels so the post was hurriedly taken down.

I don't think anyone was "offended" It is a violation of the rules here. we go through this every year about this event.....

That being the case, which it is, then why are AMBR threads even allowed at all? The topic itself is by it's very nature inclusive of cars that are a violation of the rules here. I don't want to get this thread closed and I am not trying to stir up shit but it seems crazy to allow threads on a topic that you(in the general sense) know will lead to violations year after year but then only allowing part of the information to be shown pertaining to that topic.
