If you squint real hard you can kind of see a 35 in there. Man it would take me 3-weeks just to polish everything under the hood. That's definately a 6-man polish team car. Looks better than anything Detroit is putting out though.
I know its not traditional, and I wasn't there, I have seen the car,and its deserving, as is the Greening car. Burman and his crew are one of the hardest workign shops out there for the few amount of guys they have thier, the shop is in the middle of nowhere, and all they do is work thier asses off in the shop. I say way to go Midwesteners win another big one!!
Thanks for the update..........do you have a low-down on the other awards? Who won what? Chris Nelson Kansas
Has anybody noticed a "female body part theme" going on with that ride? That's the first ting I saw when I looked at the pics on Fri.
They Car Blows,,,disgusting,,did Boyd Built That Car..or His Brother..there Were Some Really Nice Cars There..kaucher Kustoms Had Some Of The Nicest Cars Ther.e.
i was going to say that you can't really tell that it's a '35 Ford. another trailer queen wins, whoopty frickin doo.
Beauty is obviously in the eye of the 'chainer. Kinda reminds me of one of those Coast-to-Coast '37-'38-'39s with a '35 front clip glassed on. I'm sure it's steel, but it's just not attractive to me. There were a lot of roadsters there that had much better proportions, even if they may have not been as extensively modified and/or finished out. IMHO, America's Most Beautiful Roadster probably has some rock chips, oxidized metal and oil stains on the sides of the block, but it's got stance, attitude and SOUL.
Kinda like having a showcase full of crystle. Just sits there so people can ask you how much it's worth. Like having a dog that doesn't bark. Give me a beat up model A coupe, with a nailhead anytime!
.... I think they should have put the holes in the backs of the seats on the bottom instead, then at least it would be a comfortable place to take a dump.
I can definately appreciate the hardwork that goes into that thing...may not be my style or anyone elses' on here but man...I wouldn't mind our shop getting paid to paint that thing
It's another one of those new custom made cars loosely based on early Ford styling. Probably really well done, but not me. Not that that matters in the scheme of things. Remember Covell's Black Fog and all the who-ha over that? Seems nothing changes.
Why do they even bother putting headlights on those cars. they are the only thing that doesn't look right. like they were glued on a plastic model.
don't hate.. if cole foster or rick door built that car y'all would love it.. the craftmanship on that car is amazing..if you could under it.you would be really stoked.
Jimmie Vaughan's '54 Crown Vic and Lee Pratt's '49 shoebox won the top honors in the mild custom class. Both stunning and perfect specimens.
