    here's mine again, more pictures.
Boo, this was the first, she was rescued a pole she had been tied to and abandoned. she has retriever of some sort in her, but the retriever fur hides muscles like a pit bull. she has literally dragged me across the yard on the lease. extremely strong. I haven't found a dog toy yet she can't destroy. [IMG][IMG]
next dog was blackie, he explains his name himself, was already named. someone at the local homeless shelter had found him,and they wanted to know if we wanted him, he was found wandering by the side of the road. he weighs a hundred pounds and he thinks he's a pup.
    [IMG][IMG]
lucy was already rescued when we found her, she had been abused, she didn't like anyone at first, now she likes everyone. she's the oldest.

lady is our special dog, she's a manchester terrior, she has food allergies that trigger seizures, we finally found two brands of food she can eat. read your dog food labels!! there's some horrible stuff in modern foods.
she can eat IAMS healthy naturals, and she can eat chicken soup for the dog lovers soul. The BHA that is in most dog food is terrible for your buddies. [IMG][IMG]

right now he's in the middle of all the clean clothes my wife just folded, right in the middle of the bed, sleeping on his back with his teeth showing as usual. we quit buying couches. we were getting second hand store ones, then we gave up. this dog makes the strangest noises i've ever heard come out of a dog. he sounds exactly like chewbacca from star wars. He has a really big mouth too.

    Molly, 1998-2009

Today we faced the worst day that any pet owner has to deal with. Due to health issues, Molly, our old Lab/Rotty mix is no longer with us. It was a rough decision to make but it was best for her. In a few days, after the last of the favorite toys has been drug out from under the couch, and the last of the dog hair has been vacuumed up things will get back to normal. But right now it hurts; a lot...

    here you go, http://rainbowsbridge.com/Poem.htm
best thing you can do is save a pup from a shelter for her, if she were here she would probably say, i'm not here, but there is a pup at the shelter who is going to be put down soon,go save him for me.

We always had "regular" sized dogs, then my daughter decided she wanted a Chuhuahua; then my wife decided she wanted one too; then my wife found another at her work, and decided I needed one too. So, we have 3 Chihuahuas that think they're Rottweilers. They all like to go for rides, but mine goes the most. She lets me know when it's time for bed, follows me around, loves to play fetch all day, and all I have to do is pick up the car keys, and she's right there. Angel, Addie Mae, and Middy (mine). They say, "diamonds are a girls best friend"; and "mans best friend" is a dog. I think we got the better deal! Butch/56sedandelivery.

I hadn't been in this thread since I posted pics of my pooch, and I just wanted to say it's awesome to see more and more people realizing that you need to "judge the deed and not the breed!"

BSL shit is ridiculous, it's freaking profiling and makes no sense. Start getting on these bastard backyard breeders and ignorant owners and stop blaming the animal.

It's also great to hear from those promoting rescue dogs! I help support one of our local no-kill shelters(www.homefurever.com) through my business, it's where we adopted Woodson from 6 1/6 years ago!

yea i was watching that vice cops show last night, they were doing a raid on some nasty ass apartment with kids, one of the cops made some comment about kids and PIT BULLS running around with them, disgusting. the PIT BULL was a pup, just a pup and the cop acts like it's some killer animal. those are the kinds of attitudes thta let these laws pass. really pissed me off. my old neighbor who used to live here had a red nose pit that lived it's life on a logging chain, he bought a female, not even old enough to breed, but she had pups and was so skinny and mistreated she killed her pups, she probably didn't want them to suffer, She got rescued by the person who had given her to him, they were appaled at her condition, but they said they would get her fattened back up and healthy. My wife and I tried to feed her and get the fleas and flies of of her,but only so much you can do. she was a sweetie too. We tried to get th animal shelter to do something about the mistreatment, but they wouldn't do a dam thing. Not sure what happened to the male, but at least one of them was saved.

  29. Just read this morning that MD legislators are considering a law banning dogs from riding in the back of pick ups. Sparky may have to stay home soon.

I have 4 of them. 2 Daushound mini's and two labs.
The little ones love to ride. We even spell it out. They flip and run up to door of the truck.
They also have attitudes. I took the girl Shotzie to Moultrie one time. Had her spike collar on. Big ass burly biker dudes were wanting to pose with this dog...WTH!
    I can't imagine why shotzie.jpg
