Here's a GOPRO. First time this car has been on the strip since the late 50's/ early 60's. Kind of a lazy pass, borrowed cheater slicks, but it ended up being the best at 13.21. I really wanted a 12.XX but it wasn't to be. Dad and I had a blast.

 

Little rivalry of two 40 Ford Coupes. We had some words after this pass before heading to our own pits!.
Well, not really we were laughing pretty good. We let the race get the best of us on the first pass, both leaving too hard, and he got me. Second pass we settled down a little but still still had bad passes but I pulled out the win.
Were one a piece.

We didn't have a lot of luck making it down the track in our car's debut but Dad and I had an absolute blast!

LOL you were riding a gas powered pogo stick.

Loved watching it run, I absolutely couldn't figure out why the announcer didn't know it was an Austin, I think that the bouncing made him think it was a WACO. You'll have a runner when you get it sorted out.

 

I did get an email from the boss and said that the blown truck was not to be in my class so he called fowl and will be sending the trophy to the rightful owner.

I was wondering about that, I saw it rolling up to the winner's circle as we were pulling out. Killer truck but I couldn't figure out how it got into the Stock Car class? Congrats...

I am lust with the 409 car. its runs well and looks good doing it.

 

I thought about asking what was up but its just not in me to complain.
I was happy to be invited and to get my revenge on a Pontiac that was bigger than my 09.
I was trying something new with my distributor and still have some work to do with it but was happy that my idea is working and my be a little help for the ol car.
