    The plane is so small it probably was a ill acting plane like the Gee Bee. HRP

    Well the article says
    "It proved to be very stable and easy to fly after release with surprisingly good performance for such a minute aircraft."
    Problem was the return!:eek:

    Just remember, if the a-bombs were going to be used, the return trip was not going to be necessary. Maybe they overthought the whole idea. After all, it was MAD, Mutually ***ured Destruction, so the pilots might just as well have had smaller nukes for a secondary purpose…

    @leon bee , nope, afraid not. I'm fairly close to Tucson and haven't made a trip there either.
