I was saddened to hear of the passing of legendry Funnycar driver and team owner Don Schumacher God Speed Sir
yes, he was a pioneer and so much more. Sincere sympathy goes out to his friends, fans and racing family and especially his immediate Family.
Don really came into his own in the early 70's, when he landed sponsors like Wonder Bread, and hired good crews and drivers, to expand his impact on the sport. RIP Mr Schumacher.
He was not only a funny car pioneer back in the day, but a business genius. He increased Schumacher Electric’s value 10X. and employed 2000 people. He fielded 7 race teams at one time! They won 22 National events! Rest in Peace, Sir! You have earned it.
