Well, I'm biased, but I do really like the 56 Mopars, and I definitely like them with radiused wheelwells. My '56 Plymouth wasn't a "gasser" but I called it gasser-inspired, because as a kid in the 50's and 60's those were the cars that tripped my trigger. Mostly tri-5 Chevies, but I dig the first year of fins on the '56 Mopars. And they're definitely not as common as Camaros!:D And a 440 looks good in there!

I like the front moved forward a little. The rear looks badass also I'm just not in the mood for that much surgery on another project.I think with a nose bleed stance the wheels moved up a little helps the look,a lot of cars look like the frontend is to far back when you try and keep it centered in the front wheel opening.

It DOES look bad-ass with the rear wheels right under the post...
    AWB is good too...
Its a cool looking car, and FAR from ordinary, I don't think you can make a wrong turn either way, unless its got a slant-six in it...
Unless...of course, its got one NASTY Slant-six...which actually would be kinda cool.

What I got figured out so far is. Speedway straight axle kit with discs.I have a pair of 16x11 Americans I'll see if Cody at Hurst can do a 16x12x30 Pie crust.Big block with a Weiand Drag Star 6x2, automatic and a 8-3/4 I haven't decided on gear ratio yet,I want street drive it.I need to find I pair of front wheels and figure out the interior, what would be correct interior wise? Any interior shots I can get a look at?

Copy the interior straight from the Suicde King, except replace everthing gold with green.

I would suggest raising the rear wheel opening with the stock lip. I think that would look right.

I would go with the straight axle look, you just doent see that many Chrysler straight axle gasser/altered looking cars.

Well said! Never seems to sink in on this site, though. I'm in Ohio, always has been, and still is saturated with gassers. Have yet to see these 6 cylinder, underpowered faux gassers that every expert claims is roaming the streets , losing races to Chevettes with a fouled spark plug. At the same time, if a guy follows the suggestions of the HAMB masses and runs a small hemi or a poly, and a set of deuces on top and some pie crust slicks, these things will all increase the cool factor, but hurt his E.T.'s compared to more modern racing equipment like a 440, dominator and modern slicks.
It's a cool car, if you choose to build a gasser styled car out of it, it will surely be a blast, especially because it's different.

I'd do a late 50's theme on the interior
