I only am going for a few days so I hope I can fit most of this in. I really appreciate all of this.

oh you meant the killer twins over the Ashley River. my mistook. and i try to be as positive as possible about North Mexico...... i mean North Charleston.
i keep hearing about all these killer rods in the area but seldom see any on the roads. no small wonder; since the predominant vehicle locally seems to be Ford Expeditions.
visitors see the best side for a few minutes and are then gone; live-heres see the whole picture day in and day out. same everywhere; nothing unique about our problems. trouble is, if you want to see what's been described, you better hurry before developers clear it all out.
Bert's Bar on Sullivan's Island was a great place to grab a beer, as was the Oldside on Isle Of Palms.

  4. River Street in Savannah is a must!! Check out the River Street candy shop for tins of the best salt water taffy ever!!!

    :D :D

I lived there for many years ... my wife and I graduated High School @ St. Andrews High and I owned property there until recently. There is a cruise night on Wednesday night ( first Wednesday of the month I believe ) @ the Thomas Bessinger Bar-B-Que place on Hwy 17S. The Street rod club there puts on a show ... the weekend before Thanksgiving @ the Ladson Fairgrounds. I saw three or four street rods today :) in Charleston ... because After writing about Downtown Charleston yesterday ...
the wife and I decided to go to Charleston today. It was warm and sunny. The temperature was low 70's. Lots of folks out and about.

I took these photos from my Silverado. We ate @ Thomas Bessinger's Bar-B-Que ... and then went down into the market area.

The photos are of a lady making sweetgrass baskets in the market area. A carriage stop. Hymen's Seafood and a side street off market headed towards Tommy Condons. And then Tommy Condons :)

ya shoulda stopped by the store. i was stuck there all day.... and the oldest thing i got to look up parts for was my own Falcon....

if yer lucky and happen to be downtown when she drives one of them, there's a little old lady (and i mean OLD) who has a black '59 Ford and a sweet '40 Ford tudor sedan (some call them coaches) and both are manual trans cars.... the '59 has a Y-block.

in savannah theres a fall festival and car show this coming weekend, i'll update ya when i find out what day the car show is. theres a place called smiles piano saloon, they do nightly shows with dueling pianos. there are some decent ghost tours, some non ghost tours if your kids are real little, the savannah wildlife refuge is just over the bridge into south carolina, its free, and you're pretty much garaunteed to see gators, and some other cool animals...you can stay in the car and drive through it all, or get out whenever you want..its 6 miles of road, and dykes you can hike on, no fences or cages or anything. oatland island is kinda like a zoo, but its animals native to this area, plus wolves in a pretty cool enclosure. its cheap, and can kill a few hours, maybe half a day...if you want any more info, let me know

I forget her name ... but she has to be 80 years old. She was driving the 40 Tudor around back in the 1970's. She did live between Calhoun St. and the battery ... years ago. She has a garage under her house. I have been there ... with a friend who knew her. :D
