Going tubeless

    I have a question
    I have a 49 desoto custom and I want to go with tubeless tires. How do i go about doing this? I know i have to get valve stems, but what kind and where can i get em? is that all i need to do?

    So before I get flamed ya AIN"T suspost to do it. BUT have done it many times with no problems. If your rims are rusty on the bead area or have riveted centers you may have leaks. Any tire shop or parts store will have stems, you need the .625 diameter ones

    Should work, depends on condition of tires/rims and type of rims.
    For anyone reading this : for those of us that need to run tubes what is the lowest priced place to buy them from-nationwide store?

    I always run tubeless on old steelies. Just wipe a little silicone on the rivets and maybe some bead sealer around the bead. If tubes are needed I hit up tractor supply.
