Getting the truck ready to leave tomorrow AM for Goodguys/Texas... After getting my tires Road Force balanced, my WWW's looked like a police fingerprint blotter. SOS pads to the rescue...5 pads + 5 beers = 5 purdy WWW's.(burp) (what the hell kind of tech post did you expect from a goldchainer?)
Note to self ... Shoulda just sold my 32 3 winder and bought a truck... Larry is my hero... Nice truck. note 2 screw Larry .. he gets everything
I think I would rather chew on an SOS pad than drink Lime Bud Light...YUCK!!! The truck is sweet though.
If it makes ya feel better- just got off a phone with the shop that's fabbing the chrysler's windshield & grille top. As I turned and caught the mirror out of the corner of my eye, could've sworn there was a glimmer of gold, in the neck area. !#%$!! To top it off there's the gold chain aspects of my trailer tech contribution to tech week. This thread makes me feel better though. At least I haven't sunk to lime beer. Yet.........
gold chainers only work on 'concrete' with a 'pad' to kneel on. i see you are down on your knees in the gravel. other than the 5 pads you used you were doing great. (could of done em all with one!) chainers use lots of pads.
Patina schmatina! Seriously. I'd scuff it up and hit it with something glossy. You have those pretty wheels with trim rings... those *****in new whitewalls... Its like wearing a tux and having your underwear showing through you fly. Just trying to help make a *****in truck look that much *****iner
Larry, This works much better.........make sure that it is not next to the gr*** it will "Bleach" it also. Oh yea, this taste better if you are looking for a "Tech". Chris Nelson Kansas
Help me out here... the Lime Bud takes the scuff marks off the tires? I'd never have guessed that but it's nice to know that Bud is good for something.
How to find oil dip stick...how to air up tires (and find valve stem)...how to write numbers on checks... I have a lot more...that's what I expected from a goldchainer...but then again, I doubt said goldchainer would be on this board... I KNEW you were just foolin' with us, Lar... R-
Larry, Ya just ain't right. I'm gonna send ya some jenny-u-een old whitewall cleaner. Pinstriped suit and all, this is the real stuff. BTW...Still woulda left my wife fer yer 'ol 3 window.
Truck looks good, Larry. Did the road force balancing seem to work? Where did you have it done? Malcolm
gotta ask, is "Road Force balanced" something special,or the name of the place that did it. don't know, gotta ask
...was like night and day difference. A small shop in my home town(Ow***o, Ok.) had one of those machines. I remember Ryan posting about this procedure once, and thought I'd hunt down someone who offered it. It works.
