I just seen a post about Steve Koreing's (sp) Goldfinger Anglia being found. The article is a bit confusing because it says the chassis was used under a Corvette.

Incredible find. Oh man, what a ride that must have been piloting that short wheelbase rocket on a run in the 8's!

Do the speakers blaring out tunes during a pass still work?

Good question. I remember seeing it at Indy. and thought how gooney those speakers were.

The remaining body is one of the iterations. Steve painted the original gold flake himself and it
wasn't even lettered. It was morphed from a 32 Ford w/ injected 327 and ran A/G. He bought
a blown 377 SBC and raced A/GS still w/ no lettering. I caught up w/ him after Vietnam and he had
gone w/ and elephant and clutchflite. I'm glad I wasn't around in later speakers and lights era however.
Flare became an important part of racing.

In later years Steve Korney ran a Corvette with the Stone, Woods and Cooke banner which was not part of the original team. Perhaps this is the car referenced in a prior post.

  16. That's cool! This was one of my favorite gassers from back in the day.
