Well, last night I sold our shoptruck. It hardly had 50 miles on it since completion. The new owner made a solid offer and away it went. I'm afraid there are big billet wheels in it's future. Lotsa my friends tell me I'd sell my family if the price was right, but actually I'm a builder, not an owner. Ed Roth really helped me understand that. I never quite know what to do with stuff when I'm done. The money will put a great engine in our bonneville bellytank, and that's where my head is right now. See ya on the salt!
Dang. I would give my left nut for an econo pick up! Hopefully the offer was substantial. Good look with the Belly Tank. Can't go wrong there.
Thanks man, but having two left nuts wouldnt help me at bonneville. I hardly know what to do with the matched set I've got!
Chaz,,maybe you can get back to work on the wagon and make it a tow car for the bonneville bellytanker. HRP
All in the name of getting to Bonneville, can't go wrong there. Good job on the truck though, it turned out great. Let me know when you want to me to come up and lend a hand on the bellytank. Gary
Really cool truck but not anywhere as cool as owning a functional belly tank, and taking it to the salt flats.
Hey Chaz, gotta do whatever keeps you movin toward your goal. I know I 've been letting go of stuff that I've had for years. Just not going in the same direction anymore. See you on the salt next year
Yep,come hell or high water, this WILL be on the salt next August! Its been too long under construction!
Well you sure aren't the first guy who sold a project right after it hit the street for the first time as a finished rig and won't be the last. And selling the truck is a lot better than going in the hole to finance the tank making Bonneville next year. Plus now the rest of us get to see what your next project is going to be and how it is going to turn out. <input id="gwProxy" type="hidden"><!--Session data--><input onclick="jsCall();" id="jsProxy" type="hidden">
Make sure you ridicule and laugh at Bling Boy every time you see him till he removes the offending items from the truck.
I don't know, Chaz. I heard a great saying from some HAMBers about a friend they were considering to drive for them in the future. They said of their 100 pound friend, "he's got 5 pounds of brains and 95 pounds of balls." I just hope that left nut worthy of trading was 20 pounds.
Ahh hell, it's just a machine, a pawn in your game of life. cool machine I might add but now let's weigh this out...... Econoline PU vs Bonneville you made the right choice
You guys make it there this year for the pre-tech you planned on? I am making plans for next year, hope to be chief unbrella holder or some job I can shirk my responsibilities on?!
You'll have to fab up some sort of 2X12 wooden plank bumper that you can slip on and off that custom wagon... good thing you have a couple ot daily drivers.. because if you didn't , at this rate you'd be doing alot of walking...
