greeings fellow hammers!, I am looking for a good book or two for a young want to be gearhead, something along the lines of a high school auto shop book that starts from scratch with internal combustion engine basics. I know some of you guys are school teachers and can point me in the right direction on what to buy!. This youngster doesn't currently have internet access so I am looking for printed books.thanks in advance guys ( and gals!) for helping me try to keep it going!

  2. The Key to Metal Bumping is a reprint of an old book, but an excellent start for anyone interested in learning how to repair/reshape sheet metal and is only about $15.

Edit- sorry, didn't read carefully enough about wanting an engine book, but this is still a great read for someone interested in going the hot rod/custom route!

The old AUDELS auto repair books were pretty good. Went into a lot of theory and had a lot of line drawings.
