Carrol Shelby's childrens foundation raffled off one of his personal cobras and one of my friends won it! He is a big mustang collector, has several gt 350's, boss's, etc. I will try to get some pictures up of his collection and the new addition once he gets it back from Cali.
I bought a ticket at the same time he did, so I was REALLY close. I still am so excited that somebody I know won it and I will be able to look at it.

Here is a link to a picture of the car and info about it.

Nice retirement fund err...car yeah car!

Seriously I would love a Cobra but that would be a tough call. Sounds like he may have the means to not have to sell it!

thats cool in all but it would have been nicer if some poor boy would have won it. If the guy already has boss mustangs and gt350s he already has more than most people will ever have.

I agree, but it couldnt have happened to a better guy. He is a tough worker and earned everything he has. Plus he has the money to be able to afford a car like this. I know I wouldnt be comfortable with that car in my small garage in my neighborhood.

That's cool! What are those worth? I'd have to sell it just to pay for the tax on winning it. But that could fund some pretty cool projects!:D

I saw that it mentioned the 26th on there also, but on the ticket stub it said 21'st and they drew it at the B-J auction before they auctioned off the new gt 500 that went for like 600000. I had the same theory about rigged drawings, but this proved us all wrong. Cant wait to see this beast in person.

    Tell him Congratulations!
Man that is an expensive car! Beautiful..
I sure am glad I wont have to pay taxes on that baby at the end of the year. He's going to have to sell one of his mustangs to pay for that.

how cool a real person won the car;I to thought that most of those are rigged. My hats off to the guy who bought the 78-79 vette to support the Daryl Gwynn foundation then donated it back, that was cool
