Good bye U.S.

Well time for me to head out again. This time my ship is heading on a extended patrol to Asia. First stop Okinawa then Singapore, Brunai, Malasia, Philipines and Hong Kong to finish out the asian patrol. We should be home in September. We are going over for a PR tour to train their coast guards and navies. What sucks is I miss car show season again OH Well. You guys and gals have a good time this summer.

All I can say is make the best of it. There are many guys here that would love to see those parts ofthe world and never will. You are young and there will be lots of car show seasons to come for you.

Every time you post I think of my time in the Coast guard and My fathers career in the Guard as well. I've been to all those places and will never forget the experiances.

Have fun and be safe. Keep in touch, and try and send some pics of the world.

Watch out for those LBFMs. (Ask your chief about this one)
Don't swim after monsoons. (Jellyfish get chopped up)
Don't swim where the locals dump garbage. (Sharks)
Other than that, it's beautiful over there, get off the boat whenever you can. Use the buddy system in towns and you'll be fine. Oh, and watch out for taxi drivers in Hong Kong. If they have internet on those Coasty boats send us some pics.

It sucks to travel .... Make the Best of it!

 

just don't do like I did ....I stayed drunk in every port and ...well always found a LBFM ...get out of town and actually do something. Getting drunk after 80 days at sea always seemed like a good idea...but I missed out on really seeing a lot of the world.
