Hello, To start off, I have a 1950 Chevy 3100 pickup that my dad bought around the time I was born. It's been a slow-moving project for the last 20 years, put in the back burner for various reasons and is now back to square one -- the bare frame. I'm a full-time engineering student (sophomore at the time of this post), so progress on the frame has slowed to a crawl. That said, I've been watching these forums for the past 3 or 4 years and I've learned quite a lot. I'm registering only now because I hope I'll be able to actually get some work done on the truck this next year. If not, what's another decade at this point, right? -Chris
Howdy, you're official, welcome to the HAMB! Hope you can get back on that '50 someday soon. I'd love to have one myself! I'm a MT native - what part of the State are you in?
Welcome, post some pics if you do get back to working on it. Love to see everyones ride in the works.
Welcome from The Land of Enchantment, New Mexico! I sold my 54' 3100, and would love to have another Advanced Design pickup.
Chris, welcome from Kansas City...too many of us know the slow moving progress your making ourselves. Keep after it little by little, but get that education so you can afford all the goodies to finish it off.
Sorry about the delay. I'm moving into a new house near campus, so I've been forgetful about my HAMB duties. I'm originally from the Helena area, but I grew up in Clancy/ Montana City. I just started renting a house in Bozeman. I'm a mechanical engineering student there. So, Bobcat. Farmboy, there are a TON of old, original/unrestored 47-54 Chevy pickups in Belgrade, just outside of Bozeman. If you ever decide to come back to MT, shoot me a message and I'll tell ya where they're hiding.
