The Beech Bend dragstrip at Bowling Green has a really cool vibe to it; I always like to sit on the parking lot side in the old wooden 'stadium' seats. When the nostlgia cars run there it's easy to imagine you've travelled back in time.

so far, the weather has me a bit spooked. I am going to make a decision soon.

 

Today's forecast is for rain Wed, PC & scattered showers Thurs, PC Fri, Sunny Sat, PC Sun.........but we all know how accurate the forecasters are

Nashville (65 miles away) channels on TV are calling for partly cloudy and 56 degrees Friday, 55 on Saturday, and less cloudy on Sunday. Ought to make those big old engines run strong. Hope the swaps are a bit better this year. Last year's was okay for a first-time event. Racing, as usual, was great!!! Hope to see many of you there.

glad to hear the better forecasts. please keep us informed. ten hour drive pulling a trailer. hate to go for nothing. although it will be great to see Earl Schieb again.
