I have always made Firemans Pub my home away from home, but I might venture out to a get together.

Tierod, is your place out by the bowling alley?

Dad and I are planin the maiden voyage in his newly redone "2nd time around" black 40 ford coupe. Its been his baby since 68 and he has redone the whole car in the last couple years. Really tryin to make Indy, its one of our favorites.

 

I will be there with seven (I think) budies, have only missed once in last 8 years, it's great. Not sure if I'm bringing my truck or my budies roadster.

Can't wait.

Plenty to do and see Indy Good Guys weekend for sure.

Wednesday - go out and visit the Greeks shop in Jamestown, IN.
Thursday - GodSpeed in Brownsburg.
Friday - Spam O' Rama at Bubba's Hot Rod Shop (now on Main Street in Speedway).
Saturday - Cookout and burnouts at Culbertsons.

 

I'm going to have to return to work on Monday just to recover and relax.

Yes, it's located on 1330 Main Street in Speedway. Not very far at all from the old location on Gasoline Alley. Closer to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Google map it and you can't miss it.

 

Darnit Scotty, now you done went and done it!!! You told them Missouri boys, Sam and his brother John where you moved to. You know they are gonna drink all the beer, eat all the fried chicken and chase all the pretty women!!!! You guys are outa control!!

Recent developments have made it necessary for my brother (MO JUNK) and I to change our plans. We will not be able to attend the event for the first time in many years. We regret this as it is one of our favorite events and we enjoy meeting and visiting with many of our friends that we see at Indy. We hope everyone has a safe trip and that you enjoy the weekend. See you all next year.

I'll be there someway. Anyone going to be going thru West Chicagoland on the way? Or at least south of the city. I'd rather split gas with someone than drive myself in my daily.

Looks like the Wife and I will be going last minute. staying at the Wyndham, and I hope it will be nice and not rain.

 

That's pretty much the forecast for Indy the weekend of Goodguys EVERY YEAR. Harry and the other GG staff that travels around used to joke about "It always rains at indy."

 

Planning on being there saturday and bringing a couple friends. Its always a good time.

 

If you have any odd pieces of stainless that you want to trade for cookies, bring them.

I've been keeping a close watch on that....40-50% chance of thunderstorms all three days.

 

The open house fun will go on rain or shine.

 

I'll be in the swap meet on front row Friday only. Some one please buy the 34 sedan on the trailer with red fenders -Cheap.

 

Have a busy weekend planned with my parents, but Dad and I are going to try to sneak over there on Friday in the coupe.

 

Bubbas friday night will have hamb nametags , band and more ......................
