Features Good idea for air cleaner???

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Sacramento Speed Shop, Oct 6, 2013.

  1. Hey guys, this is Andy from Sacramento Speed Shop. I've been making these bell, mushroom, and helmet style air cleaners for Stromberg 97/94's and I've been making them out of polished copper, polished stainless and brass. I got a Patten Pending but I had the idea of maybe putting these into production. I would offer them with a Mr. Roadster filter instead of the cheap paper element filters and you can also replace that filter with one form k&n if you wish to do so. I would offer it for around $60-$70 dollars, and I would shoot a couple coats of clear on the copper ones too in order to protect them from the outside elements. What's everyone's opinion on this? Is this something you'd like to see on the market?

    Thanks!
    Andy

I'd have to think that there should be plenty of interest even if the price might seem to be up there a bit. We as rodders tend to pay extra for what looks great and works great and most of the so called air cleaners for those carbs tend to leave a bit to be desired either appearance wise or function wise as actual air cleaners.

Besides that I've been wanting bell style aircleaners for my Flathead.

  6. I agree, the reason I want to put these in production is because I feel like they are much higher quality then what's currently out there. Plus the filters I use not only filter the air better but you'd be able to clean them yourself with a air filter cleaning kit, plus you could make the change to k&n if you wish to do so. I feel like the paper element filters out there today suck and they are just a way for these companies to maximize their profits.
