  1. Its not hate it is disdain. Ripped off Tardell ripped off Patricks. Makes cheap copies of well known parts and sells them abiguosely. I learned my lessons years ago. Will not order from them again.

I find it quite amusing that the life of the average component lasted 10 years 50 years ago. Now, We are supposed to be smarter, OK, the average life of a part now is 4 years, In the scheme of things in a comparison that would mean that we are now dumber. Or, heavens not this, cheap to the point of our own destruction. A faucet 25 years ago, cost 179.00, today that same faucet costs 149.00, that faucet used to have a service life of 20 years, todays faucet has a service life of 5 years. So many people have accepted the cost versus service life trade off that today a 20 year service life faucet is not made, it will have to be serviced at 5 years. All other things follow this slide including auto parts. You may say that the product is made over there, but the mindset and engineering were fostered here, they are US products. Poor quality has it's inception at the engineering phase and acceptance and purchase of poor product has it's roots in the acceptance of the general public to support perceived value products as quality. Most people simply yell at me, the installer, post a negative comment on a list and buy another junk product, sure that solves the problem. That will fix it.

  4. There is a Mexico, MO...

There was a place called "Usa" in Japan... Stuff from there was proudly labeled "MADE IN USA"

Is there a place called "America" in Mexico?

Mexico is in America, no need to have a city/town called America. America also means...

    Canada
    Brazil
    Venezuela
    Guyana
    Peru
    Honduras
    and on and on...

Yes we live in America, North America, but to better clarify.. The United States of America

  6. Maybe the box was made in USA. And to all those who are uninformed everything on this continent is America.

Granted I would much rather have a mexican part as a chinese part. Ford parts have been made in mexico for decades.

I gotta say the customer service at Speedway is real good. I bought a set of USA made tires from them a couple of weeks ago. 600 bucks worth. I mounted one of them, turns out the sidewall was too big to fit my car. They took them back, even after I told them I had mounted one. They sent a call tag, which saved me a ton of money on the return shipping. They didn't charge a re-stocking fee either. When I call them to order something, I ask if it's made here in the US. If not, I don't buy it.

I can assure everyone that the shocks were made in Tennessee, in the USA. I work for the company and we moved the shock builder from Canada to the USA last year. Speedy Bill is also a top notch vendor. All of our aluminum shocks are built and machined in house. I'm not saying we are better but we are trying.

    About wheel cylinders:
When I had 3 cars in my shop to finish for the San Jose Autorama, (1980) one was a black '32 panel, Nitrocelulose laquer...Beautiful truck. The wheel cylinders came from a local Early Ford parts supplier, I relined the shoes myself on a vintage brake shoe rivet press. Brakes adjusted, fluid literally poured out of the drums all around when pumped...
All the wheel cylinders had the rubber cups cocked in there sideways, and I spent an hour alcohol cleaning my freshly relined shoes!
The cups were examined, and re-installed. Turned out O.K., but I will NEVER AGAIN install wheel or master cylinders on anything without disassembling, inspecting, and assembly-lube refitting. I urge you to inspect these parts, as I have seen 'new' cylinders with shelf-life rust inside, (condensed assembly lube? Who knows?)

If you make your shocks in Tennessee you should proudly display, MADE IN TENNESSEE, USA on your box and place a sticker that comes off easy but is durable on your product with a big old glory on it. Made in America could be Cuba for gosh sakes. Be proud and you will see the positive results.

Well to a certain point anyway. Im happy with anything made in any of the americas. It supports my continets and not others, Australias' cool though.

.....and who would they be? Both Democrats and Republicans can be thanked for our current situation regarding "made in China".

  15. X2! ask before you buy is one of the best ways to be sure and get the name of the person you ordered parts with.

Give me a break. You think these song lyrics refer to Canada or Mexico?:
    America! America!
God shed His grace on thee,

They way the overseas companies make stuff like and have their little towns named USA and things like that to fool the Americans here in the states , I think there should be a law that if the products were made from Americans in American companies right here in one of the 50 states then it should be stamped "Made in Texas of America " or which ever state the item was made in . If the parts are brought in from a country and assembled here the it must be stamped that the product was made in China or where ever and "Assembled in the state of Pa. of USA" .
There really needs to be something done so the American people can know exactly where the item was made and assembled !
Yes I know when people want American made products that is produced and assembled by Americans in one of our 50 States that it will cost more , but at least we would be able to buy a product that is keeping an American working and getting money to feed his family !

Until we Americans force the government to stop bringing in all these damn imports , we will continue to keep loosing jobs ! If we didn't have all these imports we ALL would have a Job !
Our country was build on Manufacturing products as an industrial nation , so why can't we get this great nation back again and start making products ourselves again ? Then at least we would be able to have a job again !

Now as for the people that want cheap costing products , then don't get your panties in a bind when the shit falls apart or doesn't fit ! You get what you paid for so stop complaining ! Learn to buy your products from people that actually make the products right here in America by the American working man !

If we stop buying products from these companies that sell that cheap asian shit then that will send a message very fast to that company that we don't want to buy foreign products again ! We want American made products made by Americans again !
Just remember if you don't buy it , then they won't be able to sell that cheap , shit from overseas !
