Hello and Thank You all for reading my post. I picked up an Arias intake at the Moultrie Swap on Friday Nov. 21st and I wanted to get your opinion about it. (I’ll post pics asap). I haven’t checked it out very closely, but I believe that 7 of the 8 carburetors have a Ford logo on them and 1 has a Holley logo. I am under the ***umption that these carburetors are the 97 style.

I bought this to go on my 392 Chrysler Hemi, So, is this a good set up? If it isn’t then not why not? Is there a different single barrel carburetor I should be considering to use on this intake on my 392? I’ve read good and bad things about the reproduction 97s sold by Speedway. What do y’all think about those? How difficult will it be to get them rebuilt? How about tuned and running properly?

Should I consider selling this set up and buying a different intake that uses possibly 6 97’s or even a dual four barrel carburetor intake?

FYI- I am a lot more interested in the eye candy aspect than I am about performance. This will be going in a fairly lightweight hot rod so I’m not going to need a crazy amount of horsepower for racing, etc. HOWEVER , like many of you, I’ll take all the hp & torque that I can get. Mark

Great eye candy! But the ****z for street use and economy.

FWIW, for fairgrounds cruising, it's not necessary to have more than two of the eight carbs actually functioning. Block off the fuel supply, block-off plates under the six non-functioning carbs, have a throttle linkage which never opens those six.

Those are Holley/Ford 94's, not Stromberg 97's and they are 2 barrel not 1 barrel. So are the Strombergs.

Shoot I’d run it if I had the chance, but then I’m the idiot that builds a nitrous motor for his daily grocery getter:rolleyes:
