Is Bobby knight a good name to pinstripe under?
Is my name cool enough or should I come up with a Von Dutch, big daddy or wolf?

Talent sells the name, not the other way around.

So, you think a super cool name and no talent puts you on top?

so, you have deciding the "knight" has no talent? I have not made that stretch..
Roth made a name with his talent, AND self promotion, but somebody decided Big Daddy would be better..
silly me, I thought that was reserved for Don Garlits.....

Don't see where I even remotely hinted at that, but OK. All I said is that if he has the talent, that's what sells. If you think it's about the name rather than the talent, come up with the coolest name ever and enjoy your fame ;)

Sorry I thought you were implying he (she) had no talent and was fishing for a great name to rise to the top. Watson,Barris, and lots of them just went with their name. They Seemed to have done real well.
Successful Rick Dore, is certainly making a name for himself..

Is this person's name really Knight.?

Not in the least bit. I was simply saying the name isn't near as important as the talent. If he is good (I don't know him from Adam) then he will get work, if he isn't, the coolest name ever won't get him any work.

When I hear Bobby Knight, I think about a very angry coach, lol. I would rather have a talented pinstriper named Douche bag ****head stripe my car than a talentless bum with the coolest name ever do it, and again, I don't know this guy, or his work.

Jesse James, Chip Foose, and COUNTLESS others never bothered worrying about a nickname, they let their talents speak for them.

    It's all good brother ;)

Many a very talented person languished in obscurity and died broke because they didn't promote themselves very well. Many very talented and well known people still have marketing people promoting them even after gaining fame.
