Good places to eat in Joplin and/or near the host hotel?

Heard Jim Bob's BBQ opening up this week in a new location after the tornado wiped them out last year. They are opening up down by the host motels good BBQ - reasonable too.

 

West 7th end of Joplin on old route 66 has a lot of places to eat and party. Sonic drive in on a huge lot for cruisin, Babes Drive in, McDonalds, Wendys, Hardies, Taco Gringo, three family cafes, and then there are the nite spots all within 4 blocks. Woody's wood fired pizza has specialty pizzas, grinders, pretzels, (beer and mixed drinks), Rumors Bar, Guitars nite club and Silverados Country nite spot. Not near as congested as Rangeline and lots a places to park or turnaround. All just minutes from DownTown. With some notice, Rumors could possibly have a zz top/blues coverband if there was an interest for saturday nite. Just leave message here or email me.

Just ate at Stogey's Coney Island on West 7th for lunch yesterday, Wow! Had a footlong dog with the works and it was amazing. Wife had the chili burger. I saw the spagetti red and it looked great but was about 4 pounds of food and I would have needed a nap.

I live in Joplin. If you like Chinese food- kings palace (all u can eat buffet & Mongolian barbq) is a good value and good food - from the hotel go north on Range line 2 miles. They are on the right just past wal mart. Golden Corral ,back yard bar b q, are on range line as well between 32nd & 20th , just some suggestions. King Palace has a pretty big buffet & it's around $7.95 I think.
