Good rear end gearing for daily use???

    Since you aren't looking to race, a 2.88 ratio makes for a nice cruiser at highway speeds for daily driving. This used with a 350/350 setup, Jag IRS. This isn't for quick takeoffs, different purpose completely.

    With that tire size you want 3.00 if you are on the highway. I strongly suggest changing to a 9" ford so you can easily change gears later. You will need to if you start saving for a 700R4, in which case, you will want 3.50 gears.

    I ran 3.25 gears with 31" tires and a th350 and it was acceptable.
