Yeah, I like Rockabilly. And when I want to be a bit more country try Skiffle...

Shaun Young used to be a hamber.(@krupanut ) I have lost touch with him since I killed all social media. He’s a good guy. He and Reggie were some of the first folks I met on the old hamb 20+ years ago. I always loved High Noon.

He also had a surf band called the Thundercheifs. They even named a song after the Drag-n-Fly. My 15 minutes of fame!

Don’t forget Johnny Horton - he’s well known for “novelty” songs like North to Alaska, but he was a pretty versatile Country & Rockabilly kinda guy too. When he got signed on to Columbia records they brought out some good session guys to record with him, like Grady Martin on guitar, and Johnny Cash’s b*** player, etc. He has some good rockin’ tunes of the sort people are asking about.

Not sure this fits the mold but the genre does have a lot of roots. A little Texas style…..

Lookin thru my records today and picked up Bunker Hill, not so much rockabilly but he's amazing, totaly insane.
Sadly he didn't do so many recodings, but "the girl can't dance" and "you can't make me doubt my baby" are pure gold

Started at the first post and read all the comments so i didn't repeat what had already been said.
Here's two I can vouch for because we've had them play at some of our shows over the years.

Lucky Lance and the Star Devils

    Jane Rose & The Deadends

    Hey Root!

Got a couple for you that I didn't see listed...

Belmont *******s and The Straight 8's are both out of the Charlotte, NC area, and "THEM" out of Raleigh.

    Here's one of my faves...

ok, some great stuff guys. Thank you.
Just got turned on to this group, The Secret Emchy Society. I believe they are a local Bay Area Group:

And I would be remiss if I didn't mention my brothers old group, the late, great Johnny and the Blades. He is on here as @rtsidejohnny.
