Flowman, you lucky *******. Had breakfast at the dub this morning with Blaaze. He told me about your new score. You are starting to live your tagline just a little too much. Gotta stop in and see this one of these days.
Once more there is a reminder of how much I screwed up selling my '34 pickup. Yours looks like a really nice piece to start with. It amazes me how many '33/'34 pickups survived and are still being found. Frank
Chris, I think your truck is the benchmark for the cleanest original '33 find ever. This one is pretty good, really happy to have found and got it.
Damn that's a nice score, good on ya! After you rip around the neighborhood do you have plans to keep that B-banger in there? If so, awesome! If no, I know a guy who's big into bangers and would jump at owning another B. Git 'er going and we'll see you around this summer!
Thanks studog51, Old Soul and Malcolm! I never did get the B banger going. Invested a few hours into getting the starter to spin, then decided to forge on with the big plan and tear it down. There was also a lot of mech brake issues that would have been a time waster to get functioning. It will be getting a '51 Mercury flathead, so the banger could be sold I thought about hanging onto it for some future project, but the reality of that is questionable.
Thanks, Bugsy, everything is relative. I think the Dust Bowl Spl has this beat 10X on the cool scale. Glad to see your thread back up again!
I am a little late to this show but congrats on another truck and love the setting in picture 2 of your original starting post.
Thanks bobby_socks! Yeah, the place where I bought it really was awesome, he has 9 acres of land with a creek running through it, and old cars and trucks everywhere.
